How to Take Care of Your Warwick Fabrics

Warwick fabric is not only famous for being at the fabric trend’s cutting-edge but also because of the high quality and high standard that it delivers and provides to its customers.  Even though the Warwick fabrics are known for its high quality standard, we still must be aware of how to take care and maintain it in good condition.

General care for fabrics in furniture

In arranging your furniture, one should exercise care and caution so that we can avoid the external walls being touched or scratched to prevent further damage.  Keep sharp objects (buckets, rings, knife, and more) away from getting contact with your furniture as this might cause tearing or snagging of the fabric.  If you have pets around the house, make sure that you keep their claws from scratching the fabrics.

In cleaning your furniture, do vacuum it regularly at least once a week and use low suction to prevent damage.  You must also rotate cushions that are reversible in a regular basis and avoid them from getting hit by direct sunlight to protect the colours from fading.  While all Warwick fabrics are tested by its quality control in accordance with industry standard, damage and fading will happen if we don’t use care and caution at home.

Yellowing of fabrics

The atmosphere and fumes are causes of the staining (brown or yellow colour stains) of fabrics.  One culprit can be smoke from tobacco so make sure that you don’t smoke inside the house to prevent fabric staining especially if the fabric has a light or white background.

Taking care of velvet curtains

At the first hung of your velvet curtains, it is suggested that it be drawn across and have a fine spray of water.  Make sure that you do not soak the velvet but just dampen the curtains.  Once sprayed let it dry naturally and avoid touching it.

Maintaining the quality of Warwick fabrics is easy if you just remember the basic care tips mentioned above and your fabric’s beauty will last for a long time.
